Stick To Your Day Job

Posted in Cavs/NBA on June 2nd, 2006

What is it with athletes and musicians wishing they were each other?  You know, Rocker and rappers want to ball, and guys like Shaq think they can rap…Who can forget the legendary words “knick-knack paddy-whack give a Shaq a bone”?

But this has to be the best yet!!  I would have paid alot more than the $15 to see this, and I may HAVE to buuy the CD now….With all the issues the Knicks have, I’d think James Dolan should have better ways to spend his time……

Tribe Does the Job

Posted in Cavs/NBA, Indians/MLB on June 2nd, 2006

Not much time today, but wanted to get a quick tid-bit out there about the Tribe.  That’s the beauty of baseball, good or bad, tomorrow is another day and another game.

I said yesterday that Paul Byrd needed to step up for the Tribe to take 3/4 from the Champs.  Well, Byrd didn’t, but luckily for the Indians, Jose Contreras and the White Sox pitching staff was worse.  A big 12-8 win, a modest 3 game winning streak, and a chane to make some hay.

Is it me, or for a guy that hits about 15 homers a year, does Ronnie belliard have the Best “Homerun Stare” in the game.  His bat flip last night after an epic 13 pitch at bat against Brandon McCarthy was classic.  It will probably also get him some chin music the next time the two face each other.

The win gives the Wahoo Warriers a 6-3 mark against the Sox, eclipsing last seasons’ 5 wins.  Now if the Indians could only beat anyone else we may have something!

In other news, R.I.P. Detroit Pistons.  It was a good run.  A Title, nearly a second, 64 regualr season wins, a near disaster against the Chosen One, and now this….A 6-game ouster at the hands of Shaq-zilla.  No worries, though Pistons fans, you only have the next 10-15 years of looking up to LeBron and the Cavs to look forward to…
