Plummer Continues to Embarass
The latest Story involving Jake Plummer should come as a shock to now one and comes just weeks after the Denver Broncos put the QB on notice by drafting his heir-apparent, Jay Cutler in the NFL Draft. Inthis latest “OOPS”, the Schick-Challenged QB allegedly cut off another driver, and after getting a horn job, proceded to get out of his Honda Truck at a red-light and kick the Ford Truck the “victom” was driving. Plummer, of course, denies the incident, but should we believe him?
This is the same guy that flipped off the home crowd on National TV becuase they were riding him after a pick. He apologized. This is the same guy that called and berated an Entertainment Columnist in Denver after she outed which cherleader Plummer was dating at the time. Again, he apologized. In the past he has also cancelled a wedding within hours of the ceremony because of second thoughts and has had run-ins with fans.
Look, I am a Denver Bronco fan, and being the Quarterback of the Broncos might just be the hardest job in sports when you really think about it. Remember, this is the same town that reported what kind of candy John Elway gave out at Halloween, that’s a tough town. Plummer needs to cool the antics, however and remember just who it is that pays his salary. Let’s face it, the Broncos are a first-class organization and they DESPISE negative publicity. In Cutler they has essentially drafted the Anti-Plummer. Jake’s days are numbered.
I like Jake. He does amazing things for his charities, and his drive and passion for keeping the spirit of fallen hero Pat Tillman alive deserves our admiration. But Jake needs to learn a little self control and needs to try to stop fighting conformity. Tossing the beard would be a nice, but being a civil member of society would be the place to start….
